Roblox UGC
Roblox R6 vs R15: which rig should you design for?
·4 min read
R6 is 6 body parts. R15 is 15. That much is obvious. The interesting question is which one your UGC needs to look right on — and the honest answer in 2026 is both.
R6 in 2026
R6 is still the default in classic experiences: obbies, tycoons, retro games. Big Games and dozens of other top titles cap at R6 for performance. Ignoring R6 means writing off ~40% of active players.
R15 in 2026
R15 is the standard for anything modern — Adopt Me, Blox Fruits, Brookhaven, Grow a Garden. Layered clothing, custom animations and expressive emotes all require R15.
Design for both, preview on both
Meshlox previews every accessory on both R6 and R15 rigs before you export, so clipping and scale issues surface before you burn 750 Robux on an upload.
