The cage mesh
A cage mesh is a low-poly wrapper that tells Roblox how the accessory should deform as it fits over different body types. Without a valid cage, layered clothing snaps or clips.
Inner cage vs outer cage
Every layered accessory ships with two cages: an inner cage (what it hugs) and an outer cage (what stacks on top of it). A jacket's outer cage is what a backpack sits on.
